Quentin Matsys

Quentin Matsys, born in 1466 in Leuven, was a prominent Flemish painter who played a pivotal role in the Early Netherlandish tradition. His artistic journey began with an unconventional training as an ironsmith, which laid a unique foundation for his later work as a painter.
