Quincy Miller, born on November eighteenth, nineteen ninety-two, is an accomplished American professional basketball player. He has made his mark in various leagues, including the East Asia Super League and the Philippine Basketball Association, most recently playing for the San Miguel Beermen. His journey through basketball has also seen him don the jerseys of the Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, and Denver Nuggets in the National Basketball Association, as well as competing in the NBA Development League with teams like the Reno Bighorns, Iowa Energy, and Grand Rapids Drive.
Raised in the Chicago metropolitan area until the age of thirteen, Miller moved to North Carolina to live with an uncle in pursuit of a better life. His high school years were marked by attending four different institutions, yet he emerged as one of the top ten basketball prospects in the class of two thousand eleven. His talent was recognized on the national stage when he represented USA Basketball at the 2010 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship. Unfortunately, an anterior cruciate ligament tear early in his senior year cut his season short.
In college, Miller played for the Baylor Bears during the 2011–12 season, where he showcased his skills as a forward. His freshman year was historic for the team, achieving a remarkable seventeen and zero start, a seventeen-game winning streak, and reaching the highest ranking of three. His performance earned him accolades such as the Big 12 co-Freshman of the Year and an honorable mention on the All-Big 12 list, along with a selection to the Big 12 All-Star Team.
Transitioning to the NBA, Miller initially had a modest role, but he began to gain regular playing time midway through his second season. By the end of that season, he had become a starter due to injuries on the team. His international career flourished as he earned an All-EuroLeague Second Team selection in two thousand sixteen and contributed to championship victories in the ABA League and the Basketball League of Serbia, as well as winning the Israeli Basketball State Cup in two thousand seventeen.
