Quique Sánchez Flores

Quique Sánchez Flores, born on February fifth, nineteen sixty-five, is a distinguished Spanish football manager and former player, currently serving as the head coach of La Liga club Alavés. His playing career began in nineteen eighty-four with Valencia, where he showcased his skills as a right-back, accumulating a remarkable total of three hundred and four appearances and sixteen goals in La Liga over twelve seasons. He also had stints with Real Madrid and Zaragoza before retiring in nineteen ninety-seven.

On the international stage, Flores represented Spain at various youth levels, including under-eighteen, under-twenty-one, and under-twenty-three, and made his mark with the senior national team during the nineteen ninety World Cup.

Transitioning into management in two thousand one, Quique began by leading Real Madrid's youth team. His first senior managerial role came in two thousand four with Getafe. Over the years, he has managed several top clubs, including Valencia, Atlético Madrid—where he celebrated victory in the two thousand ten Europa League—and Espanyol.
