Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Rabah Saâdane

Rabah Saâdane, born on May third, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished Algerian football manager and a retired professional player. His playing career was tragically cut short at the age of twenty-seven due to a car accident, which led him to transition into coaching.

Saâdane's coaching career is marked by his remarkable tenure with the Algerian national team, where he had five separate spells in charge. His last stint, which ended in September two thousand ten, is often regarded as his most successful, particularly due to the challenging qualification process he navigated.

Notably, he was at the helm when the U-20 team qualified for the nineteen seventy-nine FIFA World Youth Championship, marking Algeria's first appearance in a major tournament. Additionally, he contributed to the backroom staff during the nineteen eighty-two FIFA World Cup and served as head coach in the nineteen eighty-six edition.

In recognition of his exceptional coaching abilities, Saâdane was honored as Africa's best coach by the Africa International Sport Convention during its sixth edition in Bamako, Mali. The convention highlighted his unique achievement as the only coach globally to have qualified a team for four FIFA World Cup finals, including one at the junior level.
