Rachel Seaman, born on January 14, 1986, is a distinguished Canadian race walker who has made her mark in the world of athletics. She began her journey in race walking at the age of fourteen, but it wasn't until she turned eighteen that she decided to fully commit to the sport. Her dedication paid off when she clinched the title at the 2005 Pan American Race Walking Cup Junior championship, showcasing her potential on an international stage.

Seaman's first significant experience at the senior level came in 2006 during the IAAF World Race Walking Cup, where she not only competed but also met her future husband, Tim Seaman, an American race walker and coach. The couple tied the knot on October 31, 2009, and currently resides in Chula Vista, California, where they train together.

Throughout her career, Rachel has consistently pushed the boundaries of her performance. She set her first Canadian record in the 20 km walk at the 2011 USATF Masters Championships, held in Huntington Beach, California. As she honed her skills, she improved her personal best and subsequently broke her own record multiple times. Her current record stands at one hour, twenty-nine minutes, and fifty-four seconds, achieved on March 15, 2015, at the Asian Race Walking Championships in Nomi, Japan.

In addition to her impressive outdoor records, Rachel has also established Canadian Indoor records in the one mile walk, clocking in at six minutes and seventeen seconds, and the 3000 metres walk with a time of twelve minutes and twenty-three seconds.
