Radivoj Korać

Radivoj Korać, born on November fifth, nineteen thirty-eight, was a remarkable Serbian and Yugoslav professional basketball player. He made a significant impact on the sport, representing the Yugoslavia national basketball team on the international stage.

Korać is best remembered for his extraordinary achievement of scoring ninety-nine points in a single game against Alviks Stockholm during the nineteen sixty-four to sixty-five season, a record that still stands in the EuroLeague. Additionally, he showcased his exceptional free-throw skills by making one hundred out of one hundred attempts on a live television show in Belgium.

Tragically, Korać's life was cut short when he died in a car crash in nineteen sixty-nine at the young age of thirty. In his honor, FIBA Europe established the FIBA Radivoj Korać Cup in nineteen seventy-one, a prestigious third-tier level competition that continues to celebrate his legacy.

Throughout his posthumous recognition, Korać was named one of FIBA's fifty Greatest Players in nineteen ninety-one and was enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame in two thousand seven. The following year, he was also recognized as one of the fifty Greatest EuroLeague Contributors. His legacy was further solidified in two thousand twenty-two when he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
