Raekwon

Corey Woods, known to the world as Raekwon, was born on January 12, 1970. He is an influential American rapper, actor, and musician who gained fame as a founding member of the iconic hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan. The group catapulted to mainstream success with their groundbreaking debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), released in 1993, which set the stage for a new era in hip-hop.

Raekwon embarked on a solo career shortly after, releasing his first solo album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..., in 1995. This album was met with critical acclaim and is often hailed as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time, solidifying his place in the pantheon of 1990s rap legends.

While his subsequent albums, Immobilarity in 1999 and The Lex Diamond Story in 2003, received mixed reviews, Raekwon's fourth album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II, released in September 2009, was celebrated for its depth and complexity, drawing comparisons to cinematic masterpieces like The Godfather 2.

Renowned for his storytelling ability and rich lyrical style, Raekwon has been recognized as one of the leading figures in the rap industry. In addition to his musical endeavors, he founded the record label ICE H20 Records, further establishing his influence in the music world.
