Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Raemon Sluiter

Raemon Sluiter, born on April 13, 1978, is a former professional tennis player from the Netherlands who has transitioned into coaching. Throughout his career, he achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 46 in February 2003. While his professional journey was marked by limited success, Sluiter made notable contributions to Dutch tennis, reaching four ATP finals on home soil and playing a pivotal role in the Dutch team's semi-final appearance in the Davis Cup in 2001.

After announcing his retirement in February 2008, Sluiter played his final match at his home event in Rotterdam. However, he made a surprising return to professional tennis in April 2009, where he showcased his resilience by reaching the final of an ITF Futures tournament in Albufeira, Portugal, after entering through the qualifying rounds. His remarkable comeback continued as he reached the final of the Ordina Open in June 2009, making history as the lowest-ranked professional player, at eight hundred sixty-sixth, to reach an ATP final.

Sluiter's best performances in Grand Slam tournaments came when he reached the third round at Wimbledon in 2001 and at the French Open in both 2004 and 2006. One of the highlights of his career was his stunning victory over the twentieth seed and former World No. 1 Yevgeny Kafelnikov in the first round of the 2003 Wimbledon Championships, a match that remains one of the most significant wins of his career.
