Rafael Grossi

Rafael Grossi, born on January twenty-nine, nineteen sixty-one, is a distinguished Argentine diplomat known for his significant contributions to international relations and nuclear governance.

Since December third, two thousand nineteen, he has held the esteemed position of Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), where he plays a crucial role in promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy and ensuring global nuclear safety.

Prior to his current role, Grossi served as the Argentine ambassador to Austria from two thousand thirteen to two thousand nineteen, during which he also represented Argentina in Slovenia, Slovakia, and various international organizations based in Vienna.
