Rafael Merry del Val

Rafael Merry del Val, born on October tenth, eighteen sixty-five, was a distinguished Spanish Catholic bishop and diplomat whose influence extended deeply within the Vatican. His early career was marked by his role as the secretary of the papal conclave in nineteen hundred and three, where he played a pivotal part in the election of Pope Pius X.
