Rahman Baba

Rahman Baba, born in the year sixteen hundred thirty-two, was a distinguished poet and writer hailing from Peshawar, which is now part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan. He is celebrated as a prominent Sufi Saint and a member of the Sufi Dervish, whose contributions to Pashto literature have left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape of the region.

During the Mughal era, Rahman Baba emerged as one of the most revered figures in Pashto poetry, alongside his contemporary, Khushal Khan Khattak. His works are characterized by their deep exploration of the mystical aspects of Islam, reflecting his Sufi-oriented philosophy and spiritual insights.
