Ralph Metzner

Ralph Metzner, born on May eighteenth, nineteen thirty-six, was a prominent German-born American psychologist, writer, and researcher. He is best known for his involvement in psychedelic research at Harvard University during the early 1960s, collaborating with notable figures such as Timothy Leary and Richard Alpert, who later became known as Ram Dass.

Throughout his career, Metzner made significant contributions to the fields of psychology and psychotherapy. He served as a psychotherapist and held the esteemed position of Professor Emeritus of psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. His leadership roles included serving as the Academic Dean and Academic Vice-President, where he influenced many students and professionals in the field.
