Ralph Northam

Ralph Northam, born on September thirteenth, nineteen fifty-nine, is a distinguished American physician and former politician who held the office of the seventy-third governor of Virginia from two thousand eighteen to two thousand twenty-two. A pediatric neurologist by training, Northam served as an officer in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from nineteen eighty-four to nineteen ninety-two, showcasing his commitment to both medicine and public service.

A member of the Democratic Party, Northam's political career began to flourish when he was elected as the fortieth lieutenant governor of Virginia, serving from two thousand fourteen to two thousand eighteen. He gained national attention after winning the governorship in the two thousand seventeen election against Republican nominee Ed Gillespie.
