Ralph Torres, born on August sixth, nineteen seventy-nine, is a prominent politician and lawyer from Saipan, in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. He is a member of the Republican Party and has made significant contributions to the political landscape of the CNMI.
Torres served as the ninth governor of the Northern Mariana Islands from December twenty-ninth, two thousand fifteen, until January ninth, two thousand twenty-three. His tenure is marked by his status as the third longest-serving governor in the history of the CNMI. He ascended to the governorship following the untimely death of Governor Eloy Inos.
In two thousand eighteen, Torres was re-elected to serve as governor in his own right, solidifying his influence and leadership within the territory. Prior to his governorship, he held the position of the tenth lieutenant governor, having been elected to that role in two thousand fourteen.
