Since two thousand thirteen, he has consistently featured in Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list, underscoring his significant impact on the film landscape.

Making his acting debut in the action film Chirutha in two thousand seven, Charan quickly garnered attention, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South. His breakthrough came with the fantasy action film Magadheera in two thousand nine, which became the highest-grossing Telugu film at the time, earning him the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
