Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor, born on September twenty-fifth, nineteen eighty-two, is a prominent Indian actor celebrated for his versatile performances in Hindi-language films. As the son of renowned actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, and the grandson of the legendary Raj Kapoor, he was destined for a career in the film industry. Kapoor honed his craft at the School of Visual Arts and the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, where he delved into filmmaking and method acting.

His journey in cinema began with a stint as an assistant to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the film Black in two thousand five, leading to his acting debut in Bhansali's Saawariya in two thousand seven. Although the film did not achieve commercial success, Kapoor quickly gained recognition with his roles in the coming-of-age film Wake Up Sid, the romantic comedy Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and the political drama Raajneeti, all released in the following years.

Kapoor's portrayal of a troubled musician in Rockstar and a cheerful deaf-and-mute man in Barfi! earned him consecutive Filmfare Awards for Best Actor. His star power solidified with the romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in two thousand thirteen. Despite facing a few commercial setbacks, he found success again with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in two thousand sixteen and Sanju in two thousand eighteen, the latter earning him another Filmfare Award for his compelling portrayal of Sanjay Dutt.

After a brief hiatus, Kapoor returned to the spotlight with the fantasy film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva in two thousand twenty-two and the action drama Animal in two thousand twenty-three, the latter becoming his highest-grossing release and securing him a fourth Best Actor award at Filmfare. Beyond his cinematic achievements, Kapoor is also known for his philanthropic efforts and is a co-owner of the Indian Super League football team Mumbai City FC. He is married to actress Alia Bhatt, and together they have a daughter.
