As the daughter of director Ravi Tandon, she made her acting debut in the action film Patthar Ke Phool in nineteen ninety-one, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Throughout the nineties, she became one of the leading actresses, starring in commercially successful films such as Dilwale, Mohra, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, and Ziddi.
