Ravi Zacharias

Ravi Zacharias, born on March 26, 1946, was a prominent Indian-born Canadian and American Christian evangelical minister, philosopher, and theologian. He founded the Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM), dedicating over forty years to the field of Christian apologetics. Throughout his illustrious career, he authored more than thirty books and hosted influential radio programs such as Let My People Think and Just Thinking.

As a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), Zacharias was ordained as a minister within the Keswickian Christian denomination. His work resonated with many, as he sought to address complex questions of faith and reason, engaging audiences around the world with his insights and teachings.

However, Zacharias's legacy became marred by public allegations of sexual misconduct that first surfaced in 2017. Following his death, additional victims came forward, prompting RZIM to commission an investigation by the law firm Miller & Martin. The findings substantiated several allegations and revealed attempts by Zacharias to conceal his behavior from both RZIM employees and the public.

The investigation's authors noted that their inquiry was not exhaustive, particularly regarding Zacharias's international activities, yet they had gathered sufficient evidence to conclude that he had engaged in sexual misconduct. These revelations led to civil actions against RZIM and ongoing scrutiny of its management and culture, casting a shadow over Zacharias's contributions to Christian thought.
