Ravshan Irmatov

Ravshan Irmatov, born on August ninth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a distinguished Uzbek professional football referee and former player. His officiating career spanned nearly two decades, during which he made a significant impact in the Uzbek League from two thousand to two thousand nineteen and on the international stage from two thousand three to two thousand nineteen.

Irmatov is renowned for holding the record for officiating the most FIFA World Cup matches, an impressive total of eleven. His expertise and authority on the field have made him a respected figure in the world of football officiating.

In June two thousand nineteen, he took on a pivotal role as the first Vice-President of the Uzbekistan Football Association. This position places him as the de facto leader of Uzbekistan’s football, where he has initiated reforms aimed at addressing long-standing criticisms and corruption scandals within the sport in the country.
