Raymond Franz

Raymond Franz, born on May eighth, nineteen twenty-two, was a prominent writer and religious figure known for his significant role within the Jehovah's Witnesses community. His journey with the organization began in earnest when he became a member of the Governing Body on October twentieth, nineteen seventy-one. This esteemed position allowed him to influence the direction of the faith for nearly a decade.

Franz dedicated fifteen years of his life to the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, serving at its world headquarters from nineteen sixty-five until nineteen eighty. However, his tenure came to an abrupt end when he was removed from his position on May twenty-second, nineteen eighty, following allegations of apostasy that led to his resignation and subsequent disfellowshipping.

After his departure from the organization, Franz turned to writing, producing two notable books that reflected on his personal experiences within the Jehovah's Witnesses. These works not only provided insight into the inner workings of the faith but also articulated his critical views on its teachings, resonating with many who sought a deeper understanding of the complexities surrounding the organization.
