Raymond Luedeke

Raymond Luedeke, born on November eleventh, nineteen forty-four, is a distinguished composer and music educator known for his innovative contributions to contemporary classical music. His unique approach to instrumental writing and orchestration has garnered him acclaim in the music community.

Although he hails from New York City, Luedeke spent nearly three decades as the Associate Principal Clarinet with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, a role he held until two thousand ten. His extensive experience in orchestral performance has significantly influenced his compositional style.

As a dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Luedeke has embraced opportunities in both countries. He has recently shifted his focus towards music theatre, showcasing his versatility as an artist.

Currently, he serves as the artistic director of Voice Afire Opera-Cabaret in New York City, where he continues to inspire and educate the next generation of musicians.
