Raymond Milton

Raymond Milton, born on August 27, 1912, was a distinguished Canadian ice hockey player whose athletic prowess shone brightly during the 1936 Winter Olympics. As a member of the Port Arthur Bearcats, he played a pivotal role in securing the silver medal for Canada in ice hockey, marking a significant achievement in his sporting career.

Milton's journey in ice hockey began with the Bearcats, where he showcased his skills and contributed to the team's success. However, at the conclusion of the 1935-36 season, he made a strategic move to join the Lake Shore Blue Devils in Kirkland Lake, continuing to pursue his passion for the sport.

His contributions to ice hockey did not go unrecognized. In 1987, Raymond Milton was honored with an induction into the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, celebrating his legacy as a member of the Olympic team that brought pride to Canada.
