Răzvan Lucescu

Răzvan Lucescu, born on February seventeenth, nineteen sixty-nine, is a distinguished Romanian football manager and former player, currently serving as the head coach of the Greek Super League club PAOK. His career as a player was primarily spent in the role of a goalkeeper, with significant time at Sportul Studențesc during three separate stints.

Throughout his playing career, Lucescu showcased his talents at various clubs, including Național București, Brașov, Rapid București, and Bacău in Romania, as well as a brief period at Crema abroad. His most notable achievement as a player came when he won the national title with Rapid during the two thousand two to two thousand three season.

Transitioning into management, Lucescu began his coaching journey at Brașov in two thousand four. He later took the helm at Rapid, where he led the team to victory in the Cupa României for the two thousand five to two thousand six and two thousand six to two thousand seven seasons. His managerial prowess was further recognized when he was appointed as the head coach of the Romania national team from two thousand nine to two thousand eleven.

Lucescu's impressive managerial career is highlighted by six domestic trophies won with El Jaish, PAOK, and Al Hilal combined.
