Rebecca Belmore

Rebecca Belmore, born on March twenty-second, nineteen sixty, is a distinguished interdisciplinary Anishinaabekwe artist hailing from Canada. As a member of the Ojibwe community and the Obishikokaang (Lac Seul First Nation), her work is deeply rooted in her cultural identity and experiences. Currently residing in Toronto, Ontario, Belmore has made significant contributions to the art world through her diverse practices, including photography, painting, sculpture, performance, and installation art.
