Reggie Cannon, born on June 11, 1998, is an accomplished American professional soccer player who currently plays as a right-back for Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids. His journey in soccer began at the collegiate level, where he showcased his talent with the UCLA Bruins in 2016 before making the leap to professional play.
In 2017, Cannon made his Major League Soccer debut with FC Dallas, where he quickly established himself as a key player, amassing a total of seventy-five appearances for the club. His impressive performances caught the attention of international clubs, leading to a significant move to Boavista in the Portuguese Primeira Liga in 2020 for a potential fee of three and a half million dollars.
However, Cannon's time in Portugal was marred by challenges, as he ultimately terminated his contract three years later due to unpaid wages. In 2023, he transitioned to Queens Park Rangers in the EFL Championship for the 2023–24 season before joining the Colorado Rapids, marking a new chapter in his career.
On the international stage, Cannon made his debut for the United States national team in 2018. He has since represented his country in the CONCACAF Gold Cup in both 2019 and 2021, contributing to the team's success in winning the latter tournament, as well as the 2021 CONCACAF Nations League Finals.
