Known for her left-handed attacking prowess, she brought tremendous power and charisma to the court. As a key figure in the renowned Cuban national team, affectionately dubbed “Las Espectaculares Morenas del Caribe” or “The Spectacular Caribbean Girls,” she played an instrumental role in the squad's dominance in women's volleyball during the 1990s and early 2000s.

Throughout her illustrious career, Bell achieved remarkable success with the Cuban national team, securing three Olympic gold medals at the Barcelona 1992, Atlanta 1996, and Sydney 2000 Games. Additionally, she contributed to the team's triumphs in two World Championship titles in nineteen ninety-four and nineteen ninety-eight, as well as four World Cups in nineteen eighty-nine, nineteen ninety-one, nineteen ninety-five, and nineteen ninety-nine. Notably, she shares the distinction of being one of only two players worldwide to have achieved these nine major titles, having played as a starter in every match without substitution.

In the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Bell showcased her leadership skills as the captain of the national team. Following her remarkable tenure with the national squad, she continued her volleyball journey in professional leagues across Italy, Brazil, and Spain.
