Reinaldo Rueda

Reinaldo Rueda, born on April sixteenth, nineteen fifty-seven, is a distinguished Colombian football coach and former player. His coaching career has seen him at the helm of various national teams, most recently managing the Honduras national team.

Rueda's early success came with the Colombia U-20 team, where he led them to a commendable third place finish at the two thousand three FIFA World Youth Championship. He also guided the Colombia U-17 team to a fourth place finish in the same year at the FIFA U-17 World Championship, showcasing his ability to develop young talent.

In two thousand six, after a challenging start to the World Cup qualification phase, Rueda was appointed as the head coach of the senior Colombian national team. Under his leadership, the team made significant strides, climbing from near the bottom of the standings to finish sixth, although they ultimately fell short of qualifying for the World Cup.

Rueda's coaching journey continued as he took charge of the Honduras national team, successfully leading them to the two thousand ten FIFA World Cup. His expertise was further recognized when he managed the Ecuador national team, guiding them to the two thousand fourteen FIFA World Cup. Following his international stints, he returned to club football, managing Atlético Nacional and winning the prestigious two thousand sixteen Copa Libertadores, before taking on roles with Flamengo and the Chile national team.
