Renato Corsetti

Renato Corsetti, born on March twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-one, in Rome, was a prominent Italian linguist and esperantist. He dedicated his life to the promotion of Esperanto, believing in the necessity of a neutral and accessible international language for global communication. His passion for linguistics led him to teach psycholinguistics at the esteemed Sapienza University of Rome, where he inspired countless students.

From two thousand one to two thousand seven, Corsetti held the prestigious position of President of the Universal Esperanto Association, further solidifying his influence in the esperantist community. His academic contributions extended beyond Italy, as he also served as an associate professor at the International Academy of Sciences San Marino, sharing his expertise with a broader audience.

In his personal life, Corsetti was married to Anna Löwenstein, a fellow esperantist. The couple shared a life together in Italy starting in nineteen eighty-one, and by two thousand fifteen, they had relocated to the United Kingdom. Renato Corsetti passed away on February first, two thousand twenty-five, at the age of eighty-three, leaving behind a legacy of linguistic advocacy and dedication to international understanding.
