Rene Bourque

Rene Bourque, born on December tenth, nineteen eighty-one, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey player known for his role as a right winger in the National Hockey League (NHL). An undrafted talent, Bourque's journey began when he was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Blackhawks in two thousand four, making his NHL debut in the two thousand five to six season.

After spending three seasons with the Blackhawks, Bourque was traded to the Calgary Flames in two thousand eight, where he quickly established himself as a pivotal offensive player. His career continued with trades to the Montreal Canadiens, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Colorado Avalanche, showcasing his versatility and skill across multiple teams.

A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Bourque played four seasons of collegiate hockey and served as co-captain during his senior year. He turned professional in two thousand four with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League (AHL), where he earned the Dudley 'Red' Garrett Memorial Award as the league's rookie of the year in the two thousand four to five season.
