René Préval

René Préval, born on January seventeenth, nineteen forty-three, was a prominent Haitian politician and agronomist who made significant contributions to the political landscape of Haiti. He served as the President of Haiti on two occasions, first from early nineteen ninety-six to early two thousand one, and again from mid-two thousand six to mid-two thousand eleven. His political journey also included a term as Prime Minister from early to late nineteen ninety-one under President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

Préval holds the distinction of being the first elected head of state in Haiti's history to serve a full term since the nation gained independence.
