Renée Soutendijk

Renette Pauline Soutendijk, born on May 21, 1957, is a celebrated Dutch actress known for her captivating performances across film, television, and stage. Her journey into the world of acting began in the late 1970s, following a background in gymnastics that contributed to her physicality and presence on screen.

Throughout the 1980s, Soutendijk became a prominent figure in Dutch cinema, particularly as a favorite of renowned director Paul Verhoeven. She gained widespread recognition for her roles in Verhoeven's films, notably in the 1980 release Spetters and the 1983 thriller The Fourth Man. Her striking blond hair and good looks earned her the status of a sex symbol in the Netherlands during this era.

In an effort to broaden her horizons, Soutendijk ventured into the American film industry in the late 1980s, appearing in the science fiction film Eve of Destruction in 1991. Despite the challenges of establishing herself in a new market, she continued to showcase her talent in various roles.
