Reza Hosseini Nassab, born in Yazd, Iran, in nineteen fifty-nine, is a prominent Iranian Twelver Shi'a Marja currently residing in Canada. His journey in religious leadership began with his studies at the esteemed Islamic seminary in Qom, where he honed his theological expertise.
After relocating to Canada, he made significant contributions to the Shia community by founding the Valie Asr Islamic Center in Toronto and the Ahlul Bayt Center in Ottawa. His leadership extended beyond Canadian borders as he previously served as the President and Imam of the Islamic Centre in Hamburg, Germany, where he also established the Cultural Islamic Center in Berlin.
In September two thousand three, Hosseini Nassab stepped down from his role at the Islamic Center of Hamburg, returning to Canada to further his mission. He founded the Imam Mahdi Islamic School in Windsor and the Imam Mahdi Islamic Center in Toronto, Ontario, solidifying his commitment to education and community service within the Shia Muslim community.
