Rhodri Morgan

Rhodri Morgan, born on September twenty-ninth, nineteen thirty-nine, was a prominent Welsh Labour politician who made significant contributions to Welsh politics. He served as the First Minister of Wales from two thousand to two thousand nine, a role in which he became the longest-serving individual in that position, holding office for nine years and three hundred four days.

His political career began in earnest when he became the Member of Parliament for Cardiff West in nineteen eighty-seven, a position he held until two thousand one.
