Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi

Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi, born on November twenty-fifth, nineteen forty-one, is a prominent Sufi leader and the visionary founder of the spiritual organizations RAGS International, now known as Messiah Foundation International, and Anjuman Serfaroshan-e-Islam.

As a prolific writer and poet, Shahi has authored several influential Urdu books that delve into the realms of spirituality. His most notable work, Deen-e-Ilahi, subtitled 'The Religion of God,' was published in two thousand and later republished by Balboa Press, a division of Hay House. This significant text was translated into English and other languages by Messiah Foundation International in two thousand twelve, further extending its reach.

In two thousand, RAGS International underwent a transformation and was renamed Messiah Foundation International. Shahi has made bold claims regarding his identity, asserting that he is the Mahdi, Messiah, and Kalki Avatar. However, he vanished from public life in two thousand one, leading to speculation about his fate, with unconfirmed reports suggesting he may have passed away in that year or in two thousand three.

Concerning the Gohar Shahi Ṭarīqah, it has been noted that the Samastha Mushawara meeting has advised the public to exercise caution and refrain from engaging with this ṭarīqah, as it is deemed contrary to the Sharīʿah.
