Ricardo Ezzati

Ricardo Ezzati, an Italian-born Chilean prelate of the Catholic Church, has dedicated his life to serving the faithful in Chile since he arrived at the age of seventeen. His journey in the Church has been marked by significant leadership roles, including his tenure as Archbishop of Santiago from December 2010 to March 2019.

In February 2014, Ezzati was elevated to the rank of cardinal, a testament to his influence and commitment within the Catholic community. Prior to his role in Santiago, he served as the Archbishop of Concepción, where he made notable contributions to the Church and its followers.

From 2010 to 2016, Ezzati also led the Episcopal Conference of Chile, guiding the Church through various challenges and initiatives.
