Ricardo Fuller, born on October 31, 1979, is a retired Jamaican professional footballer renowned for his role as a forward. He began his football journey with Tivoli Gardens in Jamaica, showcasing his talent before making the leap to England in February 2001 with Crystal Palace.
After a brief return to Jamaica, Fuller had a loan spell at Hearts, which paved the way for his move to Preston North End. During his time there, he made a significant impact, netting twenty-seven goals in fifty-eight league appearances. This impressive performance caught the attention of Portsmouth, who acquired him for a transfer fee of one million pounds.
However, his stint at Portsmouth did not yield the expected results, leading him to join Southampton in 2005. In August 2006, Fuller signed with Stoke City for five hundred thousand pounds, where he became a pivotal player. His contributions were instrumental in helping the Potters secure promotion to the Premier League in 2008 and reach the FA Cup Final in 2011, although he missed the final due to injury.
Following his recovery, Fuller found himself in a reduced role at Stoke and eventually departed in June 2012 for a season with Charlton Athletic. He continued his career with Blackpool during the 2013-14 season and Millwall in 2014-15, before joining Oldham Athletic in October 2015. Over his international career, Fuller represented the Jamaica national team in seventy-seven matches from 1999 to 2012.
