Richard and Maurice McDonald, known as the McDonald brothers, were pioneering American entrepreneurs who revolutionized the fast food industry. Born in the early twentieth century, Maurice James 'Mac' McDonald entered the world on November twenty-six, nineteen hundred two, and left a lasting legacy upon his passing on December eleventh, nineteen seventy-one.

In nineteen forty, the brothers opened the first McDonald's restaurant in San Bernardino, California. Here, they introduced the innovative Speedee Service System, a groundbreaking method that streamlined meal production and set the standard for fast food operations across the globe.

Their vision caught the attention of Ray Kroc, who became their franchise agent in nineteen fifty-four. Under Kroc's guidance, the McDonald brothers continued to manage their burgeoning company until nineteen sixty-one, when they were ultimately bought out by Kroc, marking a significant turning point in the history of fast food.
