Richard Axel

Richard Axel, born on July second, nineteen forty-six, is a distinguished American molecular biologist and university professor renowned for his groundbreaking research in the field of neuroscience. He holds a prominent position in the Department of Neuroscience at Columbia University and is an investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Axel's pioneering work on the olfactory system has significantly advanced our understanding of how we perceive smells.

Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute.
