Richard Barbieri

Richard Barbieri, born on November thirtieth, nineteen fifty-seven, is a distinguished English musician, composer, and sound designer. He first gained prominence as a member of the influential new wave band Japan, which left a significant mark on the music scene during the late seventies and early eighties. Following the band's disbandment, Barbieri participated in their brief reincarnation as Rain Tree Crow from nineteen eighty-nine to nineteen ninety-one.

In nineteen ninety-three, Barbieri joined the progressive rock band Porcupine Tree, where he became the keyboard player and has since established himself as a vital member of the group. Alongside the band's founder, Steven Wilson, he is recognized as the longest-tenured member, contributing to the band's unique sound and artistic evolution over the years.
