Richard Christy

Thomas Richard Christy Jr., born on April 1, 1974, is a multifaceted American artist known for his dynamic roles as a drummer, musician, comedian, and radio personality. Hailing from Kansas, Christy developed a passion for rock and heavy metal music during his formative years, picking up the drums at the tender age of ten. His early involvement in various school bands laid the groundwork for a vibrant music career.

Christy's professional journey began in 1992 when he joined the Springfield, Missouri-based band Public Assassin. Alongside his musical endeavors, he worked as an electrician, balancing his passion with practical responsibilities. In 1996, he formed the band Burning Inside and made a significant move to Orlando, Florida, where he toured with several renowned heavy metal groups, including Acheron, Death, Control Denied, Iced Earth, and Leash Law, until 2004.

In 2004, Christy transitioned from the music scene to the world of radio, relocating to New York City to join The Howard Stern Show. This shift allowed him to explore his creative talents further, as he wrote, directed, and acted in various independent films while also honing his skills as a stand-up comedian. His time on the show solidified his status as a beloved personality in the entertainment industry.

After a brief hiatus from music, Christy returned in 2009, forming his own metal band, Charred Walls of the Damned. His journey through the realms of music, comedy, and radio showcases his versatility and enduring passion for the arts, making him a notable figure in contemporary entertainment.
