Richard Grégoire

Richard Grégoire, born on May eighteenth, nineteen forty-four, was a distinguished Canadian composer renowned for his contributions to film and television. Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, he gained significant recognition for his original score in the film Being at Home with Claude, which earned him the prestigious Genie Award for Best Original Score at the thirteenth Genie Awards in nineteen ninety-two.

A graduate of the Université de Montréal, Grégoire studied under the tutelage of Serge Garant. His passion for music led him to further his studies and collaborate with the Groupe de recherches musicales in Paris, where he worked alongside the influential composer Pierre Schaeffer.
