Richard J. Evans

Richard J. Evans, born on September twenty-ninth, nineteen forty-seven, is a distinguished British historian renowned for his expertise in the history of 19th- and 20th-century Europe, with a particular focus on Germany. His scholarly contributions include eighteen published works, among which the acclaimed three-volume The Third Reich Trilogy, released between two thousand three and two thousand eight, stands out as a significant achievement in historical literature.

Evans held the prestigious position of Regius Professor of History at the University of Cambridge from two thousand eight until his retirement in two thousand fourteen. During his tenure, he also served as President of Cambridge's Wolfson College from two thousand ten to two thousand seventeen, further solidifying his influence in the academic community.

In two thousand fourteen, he took on the role of Provost at Gresham College in London, where he continues to contribute to the field of history and education.
