Richard Kilty, born on September second, nineteen eighty-nine, is a distinguished British former sprinter renowned for his prowess in both indoor and outdoor athletics. Competing across all sprint events, including the 60 metres, 100 metres, 150 metres, and 200 metres, Kilty has established himself as an exceptional starter and a specialist in the 60 metres and relays. His accolades include being a former World and double European Champion indoors at the 60 metres, as well as a silver medalist at the World Athletics Championships.
A core member of the Great Britain relay squad, Kilty has achieved remarkable success, winning medals at every major championship, including a global silver medal in the 4 × 100 metres relay at the 2019 World Championships. After a successful career filled with numerous British national sprint titles, Kilty announced his retirement from athletics in March two thousand twenty-five.
