Richard Lerner

Richard Lerner, born on August 26, 1938, is a distinguished American chemist and biochemist renowned for his pioneering research in the field of catalytic antibodies and combinatorial antibody libraries. Throughout his illustrious career, Lerner held the esteemed position of President at The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) from 1987 until January 1, 2012. Under his leadership, TSRI became a leading institution in chemical biology, fostering groundbreaking research and education.
