Richard Séguin

Richard Séguin, born on March twenty-seventh, nineteen fifty-two, is a celebrated Québécois musician, songwriter, and singer whose career has spanned several decades. He first gained prominence in the 1970s as part of the duo Les Séguin, alongside his twin sister Marie-Claire. Their folk rendition of Félix Leclerc's 'Le train du nord' became a staple on radio stations and achieved remarkable sales, marking the duo's significant impact on the music scene in Québec.

Since embarking on a solo career in nineteen seventy-nine, Séguin has continued to collaborate with his sister on various projects, enriching the musical landscape with their combined talents. His work has garnered numerous accolades, including Felix Awards from the Québec music industry association ADISQ, and several of his albums have reached platinum status, indicating sales exceeding one hundred thousand copies.
