Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Richard Speck

Richard Speck, born on December sixth, nineteen forty-one, was an American criminal notorious for committing one of the most heinous mass murders in U.S. history. On the night of July thirteenth to fourteenth, nineteen sixty-six, Speck brutally killed eight student nurses in their South Deering, Chicago residence. His methods were horrifying, involving stabbing, strangling, and slashing the victims' throats, with one victim also subjected to rape before her death.

Among the victims was Corazon Amurao, a ninth potential victim who managed to survive the ordeal by hiding beneath a bed, escaping the fate that befell her peers. The shocking nature of these crimes captured national attention and led to a swift investigation.

On April fifteenth, nineteen sixty-seven, Speck was convicted of all eight murders and initially sentenced to death. However, his sentence was later commuted to a term of four hundred to one thousand two hundred years in nineteen seventy-two, which was subsequently reduced to one hundred to three hundred years. Speck's life came to an end due to a heart attack while he was incarcerated at Stateville Correctional Center, just a day before his fiftieth birthday.
