He embarked on his professional journey in the business sector in nineteen eighty-two, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills. Snyder co-founded several companies, including Ardesta, LLC, a venture capital firm, and HealthMedia, Inc., a digital health coaching company. Currently, he serves as the CEO of SensCy, a cybersecurity firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

A member of the Republican Party, Snyder made his mark in politics by winning the Michigan gubernatorial election in two thousand ten and securing re-election in two thousand fourteen.
