Rick Tocchet

Rick Tocchet, born on April ninth, nineteen sixty-four, is a distinguished Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Currently, he serves as the head coach for the Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League (NHL), a role that showcases his extensive experience and passion for the sport.

Tocchet's journey in the NHL began when he was selected in the sixth round, one hundred twenty-first overall, by the Flyers during the nineteen eighty-three NHL entry draft. Over the course of his career, he played eleven seasons with the Flyers across two stints, demonstrating his loyalty and skill. His impressive resume also includes tenures with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins, Washington Capitals, and Phoenix Coyotes, where he achieved the pinnacle of success by winning the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in nineteen ninety-two.

After hanging up his skates, Tocchet transitioned into coaching, taking the helm of teams such as the Tampa Bay Lightning, Coyotes, and Vancouver Canucks.
