Rimas Kurtinaitis

Rimas Kurtinaitis, born on May fifteenth, nineteen sixty, is a distinguished Lithuanian basketball coach and former player. Currently, he serves as the head coach for the Lithuania men's national team and the Sabah team in the Azerbaijan Basketball League. His extensive experience in the sport has made him a prominent figure in basketball circles.

As a player, Kurtinaitis was a key member of both the senior Soviet Union and Lithuania national teams. His most notable achievement came in nineteen eighty-eight when he won a gold medal at the Summer Olympics, showcasing his exceptional talent on an international stage. Standing at one point ninety-six meters tall, or six feet five inches, he played primarily as a shooting guard.

In addition to his Olympic success, Kurtinaitis made history by being the only non-NBA player to participate in the NBA All-Star Weekend's Three-Point Contest in nineteen eighty-nine, where he impressively scored nine points. This unique accomplishment highlights his skill and versatility as a player.
