Rio Haryanto

Rio Haryanto, born on January twenty-second, nineteen ninety-three, is an Indonesian former racing driver who made history by competing in Formula One. In 2016, he participated in twelve Grands Prix, becoming the only Indonesian driver to ever grace the prestigious racing series.

Haryanto's journey in motorsport began in his hometown of Surakarta, where he honed his skills in karting. His talent quickly became evident as he clinched multiple continental championships, showcasing his potential on the track.

In two thousand eight, he transitioned to junior formulae, where he continued to impress. His breakthrough came in two thousand nine when he secured his first title at the Formula BMW Pacific Championship with the Meritus team, marking the start of a promising career in professional racing.
